Overview

A man talks to an empty chair. It becomes clear that this chair holds the image of an old friend- one he hasn't seen for many years. They fell out after they both got involved with the'same woman – one fell in love with her soul, the other, her body. Giving more clues than answers we learn about the frame of mind of the man and what happened between the characters. Contained in the volume Harold Pinter: Plays 4.
