Overview

The Floral Dance, as rendered by the Walmington-on-sea Home Guard under the leadership of Captain Mainwaring. With all the characters from the evergreen BBC TV comedy classic Dad's Army, this sketch was very successful in the production at The Shaftesbury Theatre, London, and was performed by the Dad's Army team when they appeared in the Royal Command Variety Performance. If the length of the entertainment permits, it makes a wonderful finish to the first of second half of Dad's Army and includes a larger cast of Wardens and Ladies.
