Overview

Harry Baker, an English music professor, lives with his English girlfriend in a farmhouse in Connecticut. When he commits suicide, his children, his brother and his daughter-in-law, all expatriates, descend on the house and find comfort in attacking their adopted country, sneering at its apparent lack of culture. But cracking jokes at the expense of the natives is merely a mask for their own insecurities, disappointmen's and rivalries.
