Overview

Oxford 1915. Tom Eliot was a shy American graduate when he met Vivienne Haigh-Wood. Together they plunged into a disaster-strewn marriage out of which came T S Eliot's famous poem The Waste Land. Tom and Viv is an epic play of emotion which starts with hasty love and ends after 32 years in cruel betrayal. It has been described as one of the great plays of the 20th century.
