Summary
Running a Chldren's Home is not an easy job. Such institutions are not set in idyllic surroundings, nor staffed by angelic martyrs, but by hard-working poorly paid human beings, possessing no more and no less than their fair share of human qualities - and frailties. In this study, the relationships which may develop between the residents and members of the staff are sympathetically and unsentimentally examined.
