Summary
With the arrival of Frank, her plans for spending her pregnancy in peace and solitude are disrupted. For Frank is a runaway too, from a robbery and fatal hit-and-run accident. As they are forced to spend the next few months together, their initial dislike and distrust for one another turns to love, and when Joanna goes into labour unexpectedly early, causing the discovery and Frank's arrest, they both look forward to the future when they will once again have a time for loving.
