Summary
A one-act version of the famous old melodrama concerning the ambitious, unscrupulous Lady Audley who, in order to preserve her present situation is prepared, when an unwanted husband returns, to attempt to get rid of him in the garden well. But she is observed - and, struggle and twist as she may, neither bribery nor attempted arson avail her. Nemesis overtakes her and tragedy ensues.
