John and Sally are on a motoring honeymoon in Scotland when their car breaks down. Upon venturing from the car they discover a deserted cottage where they decide to spend the night. When the couple begin to quarrel, Sally tells John to leave which he does. Later that evening, a man visits the cottage and Sally opens up about the argument she had with John. The man urges Sally to make up with him as he too had quarrelled with his wife on their honeymoon. John returns to the cottage and makes up with Sally but it soon becomes apparant that the strange man was a ghost - the ghost of Sally's Father who had indeed quarrelled with his wife on their honeymoon - left, slipped and fallen into the sea and drowned.
