Henry VIII is dead and his ten-year-old son, Edward VI, now sits on the throne with the Duke of Somerset as his Protector. Henry’s Widow, Catherine Parr, now resides in Chelsea where she has taken in the deceased King’s youngest daughter, Princess Elizabeth, into her care and remarried the Duke of Somerset’s brother, Sir Thomas Seymour.
The Tudor Wench examines the events in this household in the year immediately following Henry’s death and is a rare look at one of England’s most famous monarch’s before she became queen.
