History
Nigel Slater's Toast was first presented at The Lowry in 2018, it then transferred to the Traverse Theatre for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival followed by the West End and a UK Tour.
The only casting requirement is that the character of NIGEL should not be portrayed by a child or young adult; the actor playing him should also not play more than one part – he is the central point around which the story unfolds. The rest of the characters in the play can be played by as many or as few actors as desired, but the minimum to do the production justice would be a company of five.
