Additional Info
In the autumn of 1954 in a small town in Ohio, Meredith is babysitting, on the sofa with her rather dense boyfriend Jim, watching an old horror movie and trying to tell him something he really doesn't want to here. Meredith believes that she can hear mysterious radio broadcasts in her head, that somebody is trying to tell her something, and it seems to have something to do with the Creature From The Black Lagoon (who was present when she lost her virginity at the Drive In Movie) and whether or not zombies eat babies. In fact, Meredith is in very serious trouble, and her attempts to share her problem with Jim are increasingly desperate. Funny and moving. Other pieces of the puzzle of this compelling character's life may be found in Nigro's other short plays, Frankenstein, The Lemurian Fragments, Andromeda Chained Naked To Her Rock , and Lagoon.
