Summary

After suffering a major loss while on a cross-country bike trip, 21-year-old Leo seeks solace from his feisty 91-year-old grandmother Vera in her West Village apartment. Over the course of a single month, these unlikely roommates infuriate, bewilder, and ultimately reach each other. 4000 Miles looks at how two outsiders find their way in today's world.

History

4000 Miles first opened at The Duke Theater in New York City on 20 June 2011, presented by Lincoln Center Theatre/LTC3, as a Steinberg New Works Program production, under the direction of Andre Bishop and Bernard Gersten, and Paige Evans, LCT3 Artistic Director. The director was Daniel Aukin. 4000 Miles moved to the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater in New York City, opening on 2 April 2012, presented by Lincoln Center Theatre, under the direction of Andre Bishop and Bernard Gersten. The director was Daniel Aukin.
