Summary

A tangle of substitute marital partners causes chaos when a man and a woman are trying to impress their new American boss, Mr Wymark, during a job test weekend at a Brighton hotel, in this fast and furious farce.

When Willie Kitson’s wife unexpectedly leaves, he passes off Mavis, the Irish maid at the hotel, as his wife whilst Liz Maxwell, takes up with an old friend, Jack, and passes him off as her husband. Added to the mix are a chain-smoking, constantly-coughing janitor; a staid hotel manager; and an aged porter which all makes for a madcap evening of farce.
