Additional Info

Cannibal! The Musical is the true story of the only person convicted of cannibalism in America - Alfred Packer. The sole survivor of an ill-fated trip to the Colorado Territory, he tells his side of the harrowing tale to news reporter Polly Pry as he awaits his execution. And his story goes like this: While searching for gold and love in the Colorado Territory, he and his companions lost their way and resorted to unthinkable horrors, including toe-tapping songs!

Reviews

"Before there was South Park, Baseketball, or Orgazmo, there was this Rocky Mountain freakout from the fevered imaginations of Parker and Stone, a rousingly lowbrow retelling of the legend of Colorado cannibal Alferd Packer and his bizarre culinary gifts... It's a ridiculous, over-the-top carnival of gore, sophomorically sly humor, and cheese-whiz choreography that manages -- above all odds -- to be cheerily invigorating as well." - Austin Chronicle

"Long before Matt Stone and Trey Parker introduced the world to the potty-mouthed third graders of "South Park" (1993 to be exact), their twisted minds came up with a tasty (or tasteless, depending on who you ask) movie musical, made 'in the tradition of Friday the 13th Part 2 and Oklahoma!" - mediacircus.net

"It's finger-licking good, a tasty 90 minutes of yummy production numbers and intense spiritual crises...it will take a truly jaded soul to push away from the table before this often hilarious meal is over. Bon appetit!" - San Francisco Examiner

Casting Notes

NOTE: If your Chief is an ethnicity obviously different from the rest of the cast, be careful about having him double parts. It may spoil the joke if the audience sees him
before he comes onstage as the Chief.

*Jesus & Aliens: This is a great way to fill in some gaps in your show. If you need to cover a set change, give an actor time for a costume change, or just bridge the gap between two scenes, add Jesus or an Alien to the show. They can come on stage at any time, for no apparent reason, and do anything at all.
