Alex Lubischer is a Jeff Award-winning playwright whose work chronicles life in the rural midwest. His plays include Bobbie Clearly (Roundabout Theatre Company, Steep Theatre), Pivot (Yale School of Drama), The Quonsets (Yale Cabaret w/ co-writer Majkin Holmquist), Night Country, pig.gov (both National Playwrights Conference finalists), Blood Special, Survey No. 5, and Weird Kids (Haven Theatre). Alex was the 2017-18 Tow Foundation Playwright-in-Residence at Roundabout Theatre Company. He's developed new work at Playwrights Horizons, Atlantic Theater Company, the Orchard Project, Victory Gardens Theater, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. Alex is a former member of the Interstate 73 Writers Group at Page 73 and semifinalist for its Playwriting Fellowship.
