Overview

Léonie is eight months pregnant and, it seems, going into labour. Toudoux, her husband, is torn between supporting Léonie and trying to eat as much as possible of his dinner. His in-laws and the midwife arrive and he is berated by everyone, until the midwife makes a stunning announcement.
