Overview

A train compartment. A man and a woman. In a series of internal monologues, the man, a novelist, muses on his latest work, contemplates the futility of writing and considers his existence. The woman thin's of her life, loves and frien'ships in the full knowledge that the man'she is facing is the novelist she admires. The play, in this translation was premiíÂred by the RSC at the Pit Theatre, London, in 1998. Available in the volume Yasmina Reza: Plays 1.
