Overview
This takes a warm-hearted look at the lives of a group of Women's Land Army girls in the 1940s, making the best of life in a billet in the North East of England. With a cast of over twenty characters, and based on the recollections of former Land Girls, this lively and touching play is punctuated with the songs and music of World War II as well as BBC radio broadcasts of the period. (Music and songs are not included in the text and permission to perform the play does not include permission to use copyright music which must be applied for separately through the Performing Right Society and/or The Phonographic Society).
